Perth Raptor Care Mission


Rehabilitation and release, where possible, of injured or orphaned raptors using the best practices available.

Research and distribution of information on rehabilitation techniques.

Education of the public about raptors, fauna rehabilitation, the natural environment and conservation.

Rehabilitation Standards-

Conform to the standards and ethics of the Society for the Preservation of Raptors Inc.

Conform to the standards and ethics suggested by the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council.

Conform to the requirements and standards of the WA Department of Environment and Conservation.

Use a wide variety of techniques, applying those best suited to individual cases.

Research and Information-

Document the use of rehabilitation techniques where appropriate.

Publish data and research notes.

Create documents and disseminate information to help others contribute to competent raptor rehabilitation.


Provide relevant educational experiences for people in order to enhance their understanding and respect for raptors.

Promote an awareness and competence in raptor care amongst veterinary professionals and other wildlife carers.

Mentor new raptor care professionals and support their learning.
